Elmer B. Coomer was born Oct. 22, 1877 and passed into the Great Beyond Feb. 22, 1951, being 73 years and 4 months.

He was the son of the late Surber and Kate Stacy Coomer of Cedar Crest, Ky.

He was married to Miss Mollie Burton, who survives him. To this union eleven children were born: Arvie, Norman, and Kermit of Kellogg, Iowa; Mrs. Lora Query, Mrs. Orpha Kennedy and Carl of Clifly, Ind.; Leonard of Burney, Ind.; Mrs. Lula Burchett of Liberty, Ky.; Mrs. Dorthy Riggs, Odie and Harvey Coomer of Monticello, Ky.

Two brothers and two sisters proceeded him in death: Mrs. Hattie
Morrow, Mrs. Mary Popplewell, John and George Coomer.

Elmer was one of twelve children. Willie and Henderson Coomer and Mrs. Sallie Morrow of Cedar Crest, Ky.; Jesse Coomer of Russell
Springs, Ky.; James A. Coomer of Mountain Grove. Mo.; Everett Coomer of Villeurbanne, Rhone. (France.); Sam Coomer of Monticello, all who survive.

He also left 24 grandchildren.

He professed faith in Christ the day before he passed away. He said the Lord had forgiven him of all his sins and he was ready to meet Jesus. He made a bright testimony and was very happy in the Lord.

Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Frank Frogge of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. A short service was held at the house, then he was taken to Parmley's Grove Baptist Church.

"Where We'll Never Grow Old", "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", "Shall We Gather At The River", and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder", were very beautifully sung by the choir with Mrs. Bill Buster at the organ.
