Funeral services for Thompson B. Webb, Sr., 80, Rt. 6, Jackson, Briar Hill community, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Briar Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Albert Breazeale officiating, assisted by Rev. Benton Preston and Rev. C.M. Day. Interment was in the church cemetery with Baldwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Webb died unexpectedly Saturday at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rankin County. He was a member of the Briar Hill Baptist church and a retired farmer and carpenter.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Audrey Freeman Webb of Rt. 6, Jackson; one daughter Mrs. Simmons Shelton, Jackson; three sons, Thompson B. Webb and Freeman Webb, both of Jackson, and Rev. Wilbur B. Webb of Ruleville; one brother, James T. Webb, Jackson; and ten grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Hurst Webb, T.M. Dickson, Bernard Boteler, D. M. Webb, D.W. Stubblefield, Carl Still, Robert Lee Compere and Robert Weathersby.
