C, 38TH IND INF on Sept. 18, 1861; wounded at the Battle of Perryville, KY on Oct. 8, 1862; reenlisted as a veteran volunteer, Dec. 28, 1863 in Chattanooga, TN; mustered out as a CPL, July 15, 1865
