Stephen Christopher Potter was born to Nicholas and Rose Dunn Potter who immigrated from Ireland. He loved adventure! He went to the Klondyke gold regions shortly after his mothers death.

He settled in Washington state and married Gladys West Robbins.

In 1920 he died in the 1918-1920 flu epidemic in Spokane, WA. He left behind 7 young children and his wife pregnant with their eighth child.
