Andrew Jackson Sanders was born in Alabama, it is believed at this time, that he was the son of Isaac Sanders. It should be noted that many people show Dr Sion Sanders as his father. However, there is NO evidence that supports this either by census or DNA. BUT, there is DNA evidence and evidence of where they lived to support Issac Sanders as his father. His mother is unknown at this point. He married Frances Dyer, 20 Jul 1833, in Lowndes Mississippi. They lived in Attala County Mississippi until about 1846 when they moved to Jackson Parish Louisiana. By 1870, most of the family had moved to Van Zandt Co Texas and Andrew was a widower.
Andrew's birth year is shown as 1813 on his headstone. However, this appears to be in error because he has twin brothers, Aaron and Moses and their birth year is shown as 1813. Based on census records, Andrew's birth year is more likely to be about 1815.
At this time it is not know whether his wife, Frances, died in Louisiana or Texas.

Carroll Sanders, born Sep 1841, stayed in Louisiana and married Labelza Parker. They settled in Catahoula Parish La and had 7 children. According to his family's information he died around 1920 and is probably buried in Rogers, LaSalle Parish La.
Martha, born about 1851 only appears in the 1860 census.
