SOUTH BEND - Gladys R. Wilson, 90, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 11:15 PM
Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Wilson retired
in 1972 as bookkeeper for the Local 364 Teamsters office. She was born on August 2,
1918 in South Bend, IN to Arthur and Mary (Keitzer) Diamond and lived here most of
her life. On January 13, 1952 in South Bend, as Gladys Diamond she married Carl H.
Wilson, who preceded her in death on June 27, 2006. Mrs. Wilson is survived by three
nephews, Eric (Cynthia) Diamond of South Bend, Arthur (Jeanette) Diamond, Jr. and
David (Carolyn) Diamond both of Omaha, Nebraska; and her sister-in-law, Dagny
Diamond of South Bend. Two sisters, Alice Eberhart and Ruth Diamond; and one
brother, Arthur Diamond all preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at
11:00 AM Saturday, January 31, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka
Ave, South Bend. Rev. Steven Latzke, pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church will
officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with
the family from 10:00 to 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home. Contributions in
memory of Gladys R. Wilson may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Online
