Odessa Ann Johnson Adams, 84, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at her home.
Odessa was born in Johnston County on January 5, 1925 to the late Leary David Johnson and Annie Sears Johnson.
She graduated from Clayton High School in 1942 and was a dedicated housewife and mother.
Graveside service, 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, 8400 Poole Road, Knightdale, NC 27545, with Reverend Al Laymon and Reverend George Pullium officiating.
Surviving are her husband, David Adams; sons, Gerald Adams and wife, Debbie, Mike Adams and wife, Beverly, Wesley Adams and wife, Olivia, D.H. Adams and wife, Jackie; grandchildren, Tracy Daniels (Chad), David Henry Adams, IV, Laurie Leigh White (Shawn) Jeffrey Scott Adams, Jade Raybon Adams, Brittany Janice Adams,Zachary Alexis Adams, Jill Ann Adams; and great-grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Daniels, Kayla Ann Daniels, Savannah Leigh Adams Addison Claire White.
In addition to her parents, Odessa was preceded in death by a brother, William M. "Billy" Johnson and a sister, Clara Johnson Ruskin.
