Clifford Jacoby was born May 7, 1938 in Unionville, son of Henry Jacoby and Lydia (Balzer) Jacoby. He was united in marriage to Carolyn K. Adamczyk on June 16, 1962 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville.
Clifford was a farmer in the Akron area for many years, was employed at Herter Music Center in Bay City and also was co-owner of the A & W Restaurant in the Bay City Mall.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville, served as an elder, taught adult Bible class, was on the Thumb Gospel Convention Committee and also sang with the Praise Quartet for nine and a half years.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.
Surviving besides his wife, Carolyn Jacoby, were two daughters, Cathy Ruthenberg and her husband, Arno, of Owendale, Beth Kuhl and her husband, Philip, of Sebewaing; one son, Mark Jacoby and his wife, Deana, of Unionville; seven grandchildren, Zac and Jordan Ruthenberg, Laura,
Leah and Lexi Kuhl, Amanda and Joshua Jacoby; parents, Henry and Lydia Jacoby, of Sebewaing; one sister, Dorothy Houthoofd and her husband, Erwin, of Akron; one brother, Jonathan Jacoby and his wife, Denise, of Millstadt, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville. The Rev. Michael Allen officiated with burial in Demorest Cemetery near Akron.
