Funeral services were held Saturday for Archie M. Thane, 77, at the Sunshine Methodist Church. He died Thursday, 9-13-1967 at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital after a 1 week illness.
Mr. Thane was born 2-8-1890 in Ellington Township to Isaac Thane & Catharine Andress Thane. He was a retired farmer. He was also a member of the Sunshine Methodist Church and a member of the Farm Bureau. He married the late Estella Vader on 9-21-1910. She preceded him in death on 1-31-1961.
On 8-31-1966 he married the former Bertha Harrington at Marlette, Mich. She survives him, as does his daughters, Mrs. Donald (Edwina) Clark of Mayville, Mrs. Arnold (Maxine) Bell of Unionville, Mrs. John (Gladys) Timko of Detroit, and Mrs. Norbert (Catherine) Fader of Caro, 3 sons, Harold and Garth of Caro and Willis of Cass City. He has 41 grand children, 28 great grand children, 1 brother, Isaac Thane of Caro, and sisters, Mrs. Lillian Albrant of Caro, Mrs. Violetta Dodge, both of Cass City.
