Emma Virginia French, age 92, of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. French was a retired paraprofessional at Bradford Special School District, and born in Gibson County, daughter of the late David and Bee Witherspoon. She lived all of her life in Bradford and worked at the Bradford Gin and owned a business, The Style Shop, with her sister. She was married to the late Waldon Clark French and was a lifelong member of the Bradford Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the C. P. Women.
She leaves behind three daughters and their husbands, Clarice Smith (Larry), Waldeen Hinson (Dickey) and Donna Gibson (Mike) all of Bradford; seven grandchildren, Gina Thetford (Mike), Amanda Lifsey (Mike), Jason Hinson, Joseph Hinson, Justin Hinson, Josh Gibson (Rachele) and Drew Gibson; eight great-grandchildren and a special niece, Helen Alexander.
The pallbearers for Mrs. French will be Josh Gibson, Drew Gibson, Justin Hinson, Zach Thetford, Matthew Thetford, Don Lannom and Bailey Lifsey.
