Barbara Shingler Vollnogle, was the daughter of Margaretha Lang and Johann Schindler from Germany, arriving in America on Nov. 23, 1840 aboard the Neptune. In 1850 she was living with her mother and her step-father John H. Donbart (later changed to Donbar) in Butler County, Pennyslvania.

Elizabeth born 1829 in Germany and died Sept 9, 1910 in Butler County, Pennsylvania, she married John Ettmire.

Adam Schindler born March 3, 1833 in Hessen Cassel, Germany and died Dec. 25, 1923 in Caldwell, Idaho, he was married 3 times. He served in the Civil War from Penn.

Conrad Shingler born Sept 23, 1836 in Hessen Cassel, Germany and died March 23, 1921 in Hudson, Michigan. He served in the Civil War from Penn.

Barbara was born March 3, 1842 in Pennsylvania and died Dec. 6, 1911.

John was born Dec. 13, 1844 in Butler County, Pennsylvania and died July 19, 1894 (his obit) in Columbiana, Ohio. He was killed in a Planing Mill accident. He served in the Civil War.
