Thomas Jefferson Crews, Sr. of Hoboken passed away Friday morning, Jan. 31, 2003 at Satilla Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

The Brantley County native was the son of the late Frank Crews and Juanita Johns Crews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Billy, Robert and Curtis Crews, and one sister, Billie Jo Lee.

Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Corbitt (Tony), of Nahunta; two sons, Thomas J. Crews Jr. (Linda), and Roger L. Crews of Nahunta; one brother, Frankie Crews, of Hoboken; three sisters, Linda Golden of Jacksonville, Fla., Patricia Altman of Stockton, Ga., and Joyce Ann Crews of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, Branden, Roxanne and Thomas Crews.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday Feb. 3, from the chapel of the Joel Chambless Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddie Newman officiating. Burial followed in the Hoboken Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Stanley Newman, Brian O'Neal, David Lee, Edward Lee, Kenny Crews and Richey Herrin.
Musical selections from the soundtrack "0 Brother, Where Art Thou" included You Are My Sunshine, Down to The River to Pray, and Vince Gill's version of Go Rest High On That Mountain.
