The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Doris Mann Larson, age 82, formerly of Hernando, will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 30, 2009, at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Pastor Lloyd Bertine officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 ? 4:00 PM, Thursday, January 29, 2009, at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. She was born June 6, 1926 in Georgia, daughter of John Brewer Mann and Sarah Victoria Sturdivant. She died Thursday, January 22, 2009 in Colorado. Educated in Atlanta, GA, she worked as a statistician, a real estate agent and homemaker. She moved to Twelve Oaks Flying Community, Hernando, in 1979 and then to Durango, Colorado in 2008. Her interests included flying, cooking, sewing, gardening, painting and traveling. She was a member of the Gulf to Lake Church in Beverly Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, George A. Larson, Sr. in 2002. A kind and loving Mother, she is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Judy Larson, Merwyn Larson, Susan Peters, Bobbi & Wade Davis, Chip and Kim Larson; her brother, Howard Mann; 7 Grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
