William Jerry Boling was the son of Charles Spence and Irena Atkins-Boling. The family migrated to DeSoto County, MS c1860 from Madison County, AL. William would later migrate to Bastrop County, TX where he married Mary C. Bevill in 1887. The couple had several children with at least one that died in infancy, Allie Walter.
