Telitha Byrge Carroll, 78 of Caryville, passed away July 30 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.

She was born May 7, 1930 in Campbell County to the late Jim and Nannie Phillips Byrge.

She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of God.

She was devoted to the Lord, her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her friends. She loved flowers, gardening, and doing crafts of all kinds.

She always put everyone else before herself.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kaitlyn Marie Carroll; brothers, Ellis, Joby, Early, Luther, Jasper, and Eli Byrge; sisters, Ettie Burchfield, Pauline Byrge, Ora Ella Daugherty, and Dorothy Tackett.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Andy Carroll of Caryville; sons, Richard Carroll and wife. Lillian of Sparta, Benny Carroll and wife, Darlene of Jacksboro, Alvin Carroll of Caryville; daughters, Merretta Daughtery and husband, Alva Gene of Jacksboro, Deborah Carroll and Cory McCuiston of Caryville; brother, Carley Byrge of Lake City; grandchildren, Brandon and Andy Carroll, Latosha and Amanda Carroll, Johnny Tackett Jr., and Jennifer Bloom; great grandchildren, Lily Grace Bloom, Madison Brooke Tackett, Kaylie and Olivia Carroll; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Aug. 1 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Combs and Brother John Gross officiating.

Interment was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
