John Harrington was the son of Daniel and Mary (..?..) Harrington; he married Lydia Mixer 7 November 1740. According to the First Census of the United States (1790), they were living in Marlborough at that time with a family of 1-2-4. He served in the Revolution as a private in Captain Daniel Barnes' company at the time of the Lexington Alarm, 19 April 1775, his service being thirteen days.
