Sherry Lynn Lane, 23, born 7 May 1924, died early Thursday morning, 25 Sep 1997, from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Hoboken.

She was a Glynn County native, but had resided most of her life in Brantley County. She was an employee of General Housing and was a member of Bachlott Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Edward Lane.

Survivors are her mother and stepfather, Carrie and Curtis Lanier of Hoboken; a son, Devin Lane, of Hoboken; two sisters, Phyullis Walker and Lesley Knox, both of Hoboken; two brothers, James Lane and Weldon Lane, both of Blackshear; and her step-paternal grandmother, Molly Lanier of Hortense.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, from the chapel of Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home in Blackshear with the Rev. Buddy Allen officiating.

Interment was in Hoboken Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jason Lanier, Daniel DuBose. O. J. DuBose, Brian Little, Larry Little, Richard David, Buck Davis, Jeff Davis, Billy Joe Davis and Jason Davis.

Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home of Blackshear was in charge of arrangements.
