Matthew J. Strauss, aged 70, of 864 Lisbon street, resident of East Liverpool for the past 25 years, died at his home last night, following ten days illness of pneumonia.
He was born in Marietta. In recent years, he conducted the West End Gardens.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Joyce of Youngstown and one son, J. G. Strauss of this city. Three brothers, C. P. Strauss of Marietta; Nicholas Strauss of Marietta and Joseph Strauss of Wheeling, W. Va., and five grand children also survive,
