ROCK HILL - Mr. Claude Everett Dixon, 76, of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at Agape Rehabilitation Center in Rock Hill.

Born in Chesterfield County, S.C., Mr. Dixon was the son of the late Jesse James Dixon and Maggie Donahue Dixon Williams.

He was married to the late Evelyn Elizabeth Brazzell Dixon.

He was also preceded in death by brother, Fred Davis and sister, Catherine Kelly.

Survivors include his son, Jessie Dixon and his wife, Donna Faulkenberry Dixon and granddaughter, Emily Dixon of Rock Hill; sister, Elga Bigham of Alvin, Texas; and brother, Jesse Dixon of Rock Hill.

He retired as owner and operator of the Country Diner and Varsity Restaurants. He was a Mason, Shriner and a member of the Elk Club and the Moose Lodge.

A memorial graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Forest Hills Cemetery, with Dr. Larry Soles officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the home of the son, Jessie Dixon.
