He was a retired administrator for the Social Security Administration in Philadelphia, retiring in 1981; was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WW II; was a member of NARFE Chapter 1197, of Cape May County; and was a member of the Knights of Columbus-Council 6202, Cape May, where he was named Knight of the Year in 1994-1995.
Predeceased by his wife Gertrude (Weikel) Peale in 1995, he was survived by a son- Michael O'Hara Peale, Jr. and his wife Donna; four grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
