Paul Hemingway passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of January 25, 2009. He resided at 2464 South Eldorado Drive (300 East) in Springville, Utah at the time of his death.
He was born July 25, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Franklin George and Esther Eugenia Downie Hemingway.
He married Mary Frances Snarr on November 3, 1944. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple on June 30, 1951. They were the parents of seven children: Bonnie and Dean Rowley of Springville; Dennis and Robyn Hemingway of Arlington, Texas; Linda Hemingway; Suzanne Hemingway of Springville; Carole and Kim Griffeth of Salt Lake City; Mary Kathleen "Kathy" and Mark Warner of Midvale, Utah; and Margaret Raine of Springville.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 2001 and his daughter, Linda Frances in 1997, his father, mother and brother, Franklin. He is survived by his 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also by his brothers: Robert and Ula of Alpine, Utah; Wayne and Lela of Bakersfield, CA; LeRoy and Neva of Santee, CA; and a sister, Barbara and Reid Nelson of Bakersfield, CA.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing before the funeral from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the LDS Church, 2557 South Dalton Drive, Springville, Utah, with Bishop John Tanner conducting, under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Historic Springville City Cemetery, 450 South 200 West, Springville, where he will be laid to rest next to his loving wife and his daughter, Linda.
