Age 55 yrs. Son of Joseph & Elizabeth (Clabeaux) Humbert. Husband of Adelina (Ellen) Celestina Friedland (married September 30, 1869 at St. Peter's French R.C. Church, Buffalo. Occupation: Electric typer. Residence: 501 Northland Avenue. Cause of Death: Apoplexy, 3rd stroke. (Dept. of Health certificate #3473 dated August 10, 1903).

Father to Frank, Mrs. H. Krieger of Jamestown, Leon Delamar E. Humbert, Mrs. A. Hammer, Mrs. F. Hammer and Mrs. K. Schwach.

Captain Humbert served in the Co. D 2nd Mounted Rifles during the Civil War and later was a Captain in the 65th Regiment N.G.N.Y. (Dec. 1863 - Aug. 1865). Active in Chapin Post No. 2.

Originally buried in the Clabeaux/Humbert family plot in the United German & French Cem. but later moved to Holy Cross Cem in Jamestown to be buried with his wife.
