Mr. Fred S. Davis, Jr., 51, died Saturday morning (Apr. 1, 2006) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

He is a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. He was formerly employed by Lee Engineering and Fox Signs. He also served in the United States Army.

He is the son of the late Fred S. Davis, Sr.

Survivors include his son, Chris Davis (wife Summer) of Waycross; a grandson, Chris Luke Davis; a granddaughter, Kehleh Mary-Jo Davis; his mother, Lizzie Crews Howard (husband Jack) of Waycross; three brothers, Mike Davis (wife Henrietta) of Waycross, Kenny Davis (wife Charline) of Blackshear, and Ronnie Davis of Waycross; three half-brothers, Buddy, Bobby and Billy Davis all of Homerville; two half-sisters, Judy Raulerson and Anna Marie DeVita both of Blackshear; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday (Apr. 4, 2006) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Hoboken City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
