L.J. Crews Linnlon "L.J." Crews, 72, of Willacoochee, passed away Sunday evening (Feb. 25, 2007) at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, following an extended illness.

He was born in Brantley County on Jan. 11, 1935, the son of W.H. and Frances Sapp Crews. He had been a long time resident of Willacoochee. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Church of God in Millwood. His brother, Emory Crews, and the mother of his children, Ruby Darlene Crews, preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, James Crews (wife Brenda), of Swainsboro, and Linnlon Crews Jr., of Winston Salem, N.C.; two daughters, Cherri Hursey (husband Oliver), of Douglas, and Sylvia Crews of Orlando, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Aldie Crews, of Charleston, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Lewis White, Jana White, Lyn-Lee Hursey, Daniel Crews, Heather Crews, Corey Crews and Chip Townsend; three great-grandchildren, Cannon White, Baydon White and Kason Steed; one niece, Tammy Crews, one nephew, Michael Crews.

Funeral was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Pearson Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Hardy Crosby and the Rev. Billy Gaddis officiating.

Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in the Hoboken City Cemetery.

Arrangements are with Relihan Funeral Home, of Pearson.
