On Wednesday morning, Septmeber 6, 1939, at 6 o'clock, God in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to call home our oldest and respected citizen Mrs. Sarah Abigail McDonald Day, wife of JC day. The couple were married January 25, 1872 and settled here where they have lived ever since and raised a large family. Mrs. day was a life-long member of the Euchee Valley Presbyterian Church and was laid to rest there at Sept 7 at 10 o'clock. Rev. Moore conducted the service. The grave was covered with beautiful flowers as a beautiful tribute of love and respect. Mrs. Day leaves to mourn her loss 9 children, 16 grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends.
