Spanish - American War Veteran Dies
Memorial rites for Willis Newell Mills, El Reno resident who died unexpectedly Friday morning, will be held in the Benson funeral home chapel at 2:30 p. m. today. He will be buried at El Reno cemetery.

Mr. Mills, 73 years of age, was found dead at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. John W. Morris, 420 North Evans avenue, where he had been living during recent years. He apparently had died from a heart attack.

A veteran of the Spanish-American war, Mr. Mills came to Canadian county about 1917 from Omaha, Neb., and farmed near Okarche until about 1919, when he moved to El Reno and accepted a civil service appointment as a painter at Fort Reno.

He retired eight years ago.

The only close relative surviving Mr. Mills is his granddaughter with whom he lived.
