1835 Feb. 11 Solomon Mathew Jeffreys was born in Independence, Jackson county, Missouri
1845 Solomon, 10 years old, went by wagon train to Yamhill County Oregon with his parents, brother and sisters.
1864 Solomon's oldest brother , Woodson, moved to the Idaho Territory. Solomon Mathew and his older brother James K. Polk Jeffreys, arrived soon after.
1868 August The Idaho Statesman: Jeffreys was voted in as County Commissioner of the Boise Precient with 287 votes.
1868 Solomon married Mary Boyle
1872 Solomon's wife Mary died shortly after child birth of twins Sollie and Mollie
1878 Solomon married Sarah Elizabeth Anderson(Ripper)widow
1879 James Woodson Jeffreys was born to Solomon & Sarah. Solomon was appointed as temporary county commissioner to help select the county seat for the recently created County of Washington (Idaho). S.M. Jeffreys donated five acres to the county on which to begin building a town...the place was given the name Weiser City
1881 The Weiser school district was formed from territory formerly part of the lower mann creek or Jeffreys district.
Oliver Anderson Jeffreys was born to Solomon and Sarah.
Solomon's brother, Woodson, had died the year before. Solomon was determined to close out the cattle business and sold the stock at three times less than cattle could have sold for in the following year.

1904 Nov 10, "Soda Springs Chieftain" (Soda Springs, Idaho)"... Sol. M. Jeffries of Weiser, aged 69 died in Portland on the 31st, where he was operated on for bladder trouble. He was one of the oldest settlers in this section, having lived in Weiser for 35 years."
