William W. "Bill" Hickox, 52 (b. 26 Feb 1923), of Hoboken Community, died Sunday night (30 Nov 1975) in a Jesup nursing home after an extended illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Brantley County, he was a son of the late George Washington Hickox and Civility Laura Bell Hickox.

He was a welder and member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherri Hickox and Judy Hickox, both of Dayton, OH; a son, Dennie Hickox of Waycross; three sisters, Kathleen Whitley of Brunswick, Della Crews of Waycross and Vera Herrington of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 1, at 3 p.m. in the Miles-Odum Chapel with burial in the Pierce Chapel Cemetery in Brantley County.

Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
