Son of George and Elizabeth Piper, both deceased, died at his home at 2005 Fifth avenue at 1.10 o'clock Monday afternoon of a complication of diseases. He was born in Carson Valley on Sept. 23, 1863. He was united in marriage with Sarah E. Spidle, now deceased. He was a member of the Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren and the B.S. Davis lodge, No. 1069, I.O.O.F., and a Pennsylvania Railroad company employe. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edna Burkholder and Miss Ruth at home, and these brothers and sisters, Howard, Mrs. Emma Deyarmin, Adie, Frank, Mrs. Alice Merritts, Mrs. Carl Cornelius and Jesse. The funeral will be held at 2.30 Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. B. F. Walz in charge of the services. Interment in Carson Valley cemetery.
