David T. Hartley
Following a short illness, David T. Hartley, 64, of Muncie died at Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born June 29, 1908 in Hamilton County to John S. and Olie Yarling Hartley, he was married Aug. 7, 1946 to Helen Johnson.
He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1927 and received his bachelor's degree from Ball State and his masters degree from I.U. A Lieutenant Commander in the Navy in WWII; he taught for the past 26 years in the Muncie Community School Corporation, owned and operated a farm in White County [White River Township, Hamilton County] and was a member of the Arcadia Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, and one daughter, Mrs. Jim Reece of Muncie.
Services will be held at the Hartley Funeral Home Arcadia Chapel with Dr. Robert Sulanke of the Hazelwood Christian Church, Muncie, officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
