Charles Martin Lukens was the son of Jacob Cadwallader Lukens (1824-1895) and Mary Ann Lukens (1826-1901) (daughter of Benjamin Lukens and Elizabeth Worrall). He married Malissa Jane Green (1826-1901) 15 Mar 1877 in McLean County, IL. They had at least 7 children including: Jessie Clarissa, Garfield Aaron, Arthur Elmer, Thomas Cleland, Frederick Edward, Ada Olive and Jack Willis.
