One Time Resident, Mrs. Edward Selk Dies
Blanche Mary Hall was born January 8, 1885 at Columbus, Wisconsin, daughter of Hugh and Ellen Fairbanks-Hall. She was a graduate of the Columbus High School and attended Northwestern University. On December 26, 1907 she was married to Edward Selk of Columbus and since then they have made their home in Eureka, Illinois, Watertown, Wisconsin and for the last thirty-five years have resided in El Paso, Illinois. Mrs. Selk passed away April 1, at the Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington, Illinois, after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband, daughter Mary, and one sister Ruth. A son Edward Jr. preceded her in death. Out of Town relatives attending the services were; Mrs. C. D. Jones, Mrs. Dorothy Swarthout, Mr. Earl Rueter and Mr. Robert Rueter of Columbus, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Rueter, Hartford, Wisconsin, Miss Hazel Sewell, Rockford, Illinois. Mrs. E. S. Lewis of Peoria, Illinois and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Petermann of Hinsdale, Illinois.
