Mrs Powell was a lifelong resident of Crawford county and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the Alma Baptist church, Rev. Cunningham, pastor officiating. Burial was in Alma City Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Powell is survived by one son, Walter Powell of Alma; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Aldridge and Mrs. Bell Beamer, both Los Angeles, California; and a brother Bill Wiese of Fort Smith. There are eight surviving grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
