Jimmy "Ray" Adams of Wilburton, Oklahoma died Saturday January 24, 2009 in Oklahoma City at the age of 41. Jimmy Ray was born to Daniel and Rotha (Mackey) Adams December 20, 1967 in Talihina, Oklahoma. Ray graduated from LeFlore High School in 1986. He married Stacci Curtis January 10, 2009. Jimmy Ray worked as a core bander for Franklin Electric. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Ray is survived by his wife Stacci Adams of the home; parents, Daniel and Rotha Adams of LeFlore, OK; brothers, Danny Adams and wife Kim of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Doyle Adams and wife Crystal of Red Oak, Oklahoma; sisters, Brenda James of LeFlore, Oklahoma, Carolyn Hotella and husband Butch of Talihina, Renee Adams of LeFlore, Oklahoma; six aunts, five uncles, six nieces, four nephews, one great nephew and a host of cousins and friends; mother and father in law, Pat and Jim Stone of Kansas City, Kansas and three brother-in-laws and families of Kansas City, Kansas. Ray was preceded in death by two brothers, David Adams and Thomas Dale Adams. A wake will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Jones-Harkins Funeral Home, Wilburton, OK. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Thessalonian Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Daniel Miller and John Johnston. Interment to follow in Thessalonian Baptist Church Cemetery, Salonia, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be: Doyle Adams, Danny Adams, Stanley Carshall, Jonathan Adams, Bryant Patterson, and Gary Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Haskell Bonaparte, Dustin Mathis, Mark Carshall and Junior Jackson. Arrangements entrusted to Jones-Harkins Funeral Home, Wilburton, OK.
