We regret to announce the passing of Marie Smith, age 71, of Donalsonville, who passed away Tuesday afternoon , September 30, 2003, at her home in Donalsonville.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville on Friday, October 3, 2003 at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Billy Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County.
Mrs. Smith was born April 6 1932 in Miller County to the late William Washington and Minnie Maude Faircloth Ingram. She married Ralph "Lynn" Smith on July 11, 1947. She was a homemaker and a member of the Unity Church of God, where she taught Sunday School.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Lynn Smith of Donalsonville; two sons Wayne and Judy Smith of Albany, Quinn and Janice Smith of Colquitt; two daughters Yvonne and Edward Whittaker and Debra and Sonny Gross both of Donalsonville; one brother Phillip Morris Ingram of Albany. Nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Josh Gross, Doug Smith, Ronnie Smith, Casey Gross, Doug Rankin and Herman Enfinger.
