Mrs. Alice McCrory, mother of Common Councilman Carl McCrory, and one of the best-known women of the city, died yesterday at her home, 414 Pacific avenue, after an extended illness. Death was due to cancer. Mrs. McCrory was 57 years old. She had been a resident of this city for the past 40 years and was highly respected to a host of friends. Her husband, Robert E. McCrory, died several years ago. He was a well-known mill man. Mrs. McCrory was a member of the United Presbyterian church of the Tenth ward. Two sons, Carl and Samuel McCrory, survive. Her mother, Mrs. Jane Marshall, a sister, Mrs. Stephen Doyle, of Duquesne, and a brother, William Marshall, of Camden, also survive. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon. Services will be conducted at the family residence in Pacific avenue at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Smith and interment will be made at a later hour at Versailles cemetery.
