Bossier City, LA - Mrs. Lucy Jewel Gibson Lovell, age 91, resident of Bossier City, Louisiana, formerly of Horatio, Arkansas, died Thursday, April 25, 2002 in the Garden Court Nursing Home, Bossier City. She was born to Isaac Wade and Amanda Elizabeth Fenton Slaton at Horatio, Arkansas on September 7, 1910. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Horatio and a homemaker. Mrs. Lovell was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Lawrence H. Gibson and Forest Lovell her only son, Roger M. Gibson as well as all of her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lovell is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jean Gibson of Bossier City, LA three grandchildren: Robert Gibson of Topeka, Kansas, Devona Cummings and Karla Haynes both of Bossier City, LA six great-grandchildren: Fan Fowler, Scott Hayes, Amanda Hayes, Molly-Anne Gibson, Lydia Gibson, and Graham Gibson and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Gibson Lovell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2002 in the Horatio Cemetery with Rev. J. L. Walker officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2002.
