Fred G. Shorb, 69, of 504 South State street, South Whitley, passed away Tuesday morning at 11:00 at his home. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born in Cleveland township, December 13, 1898, he was the son of Nathaniel and Caroline Miller Shorb. On January 30, 1923, he married Chloa Elsea.
Mr. Shorb was a retired state highway inspector and a member of the South Whitley church of the Brethren. He is survived by his wife Chloa, one daughter Mrs. Percy Davies, three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs Florence Huffman.
Memorial services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Custer, pastor of the South Whitley Church of the Brethren, officiating. Burial will be made in the South Whitley cemetery.
