James J. Crimmins, a 42-year area resident, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2008, at Orange Regional Medical Center in Goshen, NY. He was 68.

The son of the late Thomas D. Crimmins and Margaret (nee Healy) Crimmins, he was born February 23, 1940 in New York, NY.

James was employed as a maintenance worker for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York, NY and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors include his sisters, Margaret Crimmins of Clearwater, FL and Dorothy Crimmins of South Blooming Grove; brother, Thomas Crimmins of Irvington, NY; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Theresa Crimmins and Elizabeth Sagala.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, December 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Anastasia Shrine Church, 21 N. Main St., Harriman. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
