DEXTER - William David Townsend, 61, died Oct. 31, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 3, 1942, at Fisk, son of the late James and Myrtle Williams Townsend, he was a retired salesman and lived in Dexter for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Dudley Community Church.
On July 1, 1967, he married Barbara Holyfield who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Melissa Hahn and Carla Pixley; six brothers, Carl Townsend, Bob Townsend, Larry Townsend, Jerry Townsend, Louie Townsend and Pete Townsend; three sisters, Shirley Bender, Emma Lou Hobbs and Joann Horn; and four grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Don Morgan officiating.
Burial followed in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
