YORK SPRINGS - Marian M. Shanafeltzer, 78, of 735 Trolley Road, York Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1988 at home.

Born Feb.7, 1910 in Huntingdon Township, Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Parker W. and Katie Rickrode Myers. She was the wife of the late Wesley E. Shanafeltzer.

Surviving is a daughter, Dorothy M. Knouse of York Springs: six sisters, Goldie Nichol of Carlisle, Alice Weidner of York Springs, Ruth Smith of Gettysburg, Florence Long and Irene Myers, both of Harrisburg, and Martha Cullison of York; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Pittenturf Funeral Home in York Springs. The Rev. Randall R. Huber will officiate. Burial will be in Opossum Hill Cemetery. The viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
