He was a son of George Hubbard. Born in Tolland, Conn., and settled in Claremont with his father in 1778. Was selectman several years, representative twice, and succeeded his father in ownership of the farm, it being the "Governor's Farm" and is now owned by Isaac Hubbard Long, his grandson.
