Motion Picture Director. He debuted as screenwriter for the production company Cifesa in films such as "Pequeñeces" and "La Mies es Mucha." In the 60s, he began his career as filmmaker, with films such as "Cateto a babor" (1970), "Vente a Alemania, Pepe" (1971), "La lozana andaluza" (1976), "Una abuelita de antes de la guerra" (1975) and "Montoyas y Tarantos " (1989), that earned him two Goya Awards. In his last years, he worked for television, with succesful series such as "Réquiem por Granada" (1991), "Lleno, por favor" (1993-1994),"Éste es mi barrio" (1996-1997) and "Manos a la obra" (1998-1999).
