Wilcox and Emma Brewer Wilcox. Blanche attended school in Sioux Falls and Minnesota. On September 9, 1924 she married Emery C. Amiotte at Martin, SD. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Alfred, Cecil, Jess, Seth, Fred, Tom and Howard Wilcox; her sisters, Myrtle Iron Heart, Ada Armstrong and Grace Bennett. Also, her husband, Emery died in 1949. Three grandchildren also preceded her, Donald, Angie and Berry Amiotte. Blanche is survived by her daughter, Gloria Dillon and son, Wallace Amiotte of Rapid City and sons, Gordon and Roger Amiotte of Wanblee; 15 grandchildren, Joe, David, Lisa, Steven, Stephanie, Neil, Wayne, Pamela, Cassandra, Donna, Dianne, Bob, Bill, Dorene and Fred; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Blanche and sons ranched in Bennett County near Long Valley for many years. She retired in Rapid City in 1983. She entered the Bella Vista Nursing Home on February 14, 2003 where she passed away on 23 Aug. 2003. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Sioux Funeral Home. Services will be held at St. Katherine's Episcopal Church, Martin, SD on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 10 a.m. with the Rt. Rev. Philip Allen officiating. Burial will be at the Martin Cemetery.
