Randy Joe Rowe, 52, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 22, 2009. Born July 14, 1956, in Catawba County, he was the son of Joe Billy Rowe and Helen Rudisill Presnell.
Mr. Rowe attended Christ United Methodist Church in Mounatin View, and was self employed as owner and operator of Unifour Mulch & Landscape Supply, Absolute Tree Care and Unifour Mobile Storage.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Diane Rowe.
He is survived by two sons, Jeremy Shaun Rowe and girlfriend, Cathy Bowman, of Hickory, and Joey Michael Rowe and wife, Stephanie, of Vale; a sister, Kathy Rowe Slaight and fiance, Bobby Baker, of Granite Falls; a grandson, Connor Rowe of Hickory; a stepfather, Kenneth Presnell; a stepmother, Bessie Willis; a nephew, Brian Alan Slaight and wife, Amber, of Taylorsville; a great-niece, Ryleigh Tucker; and special pets, Nipper and Whoopi.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at North Newton Baptist Church, with Pastor Lloyd King.
Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Randy Lingerfelt, Mike Eckenrod, Brian Slaight, Darryl Little, Bobby Baker and Jimmy Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be the sons and grandson, Joey, Jeremy and Connor Rowe.
