Effie Forman Minisci Gilbert, 93, of York, died January 22, 2009, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late William G. Gilbert.
Born May 10, 1915, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Serafina (Tocci) and Ernesto Minisci.
Mrs. Gilbert was a former employee of the Ormond Shop in York. She was a member of First St. John's Lutheran Church and a former Grey Lady at the York Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Atty. Gary M. Gilbert and his wife, Karyl Lee, and William G. Gilbert, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne E., all of York; six grandchildren, Whitney L. Gilbert of York, Ross W. Gilbert of West Chester, Kristine G. Wasilewski and her husband, John of York, V. Carolyn Barker and her husband, James of Alexandria, Va., Gary M. Gilbert, II and his wife, Karen of York, and Robert W. Gilbert and his wife, Erika of York; and 15 great-grandchildren, Karlee, Klaudia, John II, Kamille, and James Wasilewski, Vivian, Eliza, James IV, Bridget Serafina, and Samuel Barker, G. Michael III, Sophia, and Maxwell Gilbert, and Robert II and Andrew Gilbert.
Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
