Illiopolis, IL - Irvin Arnold Martin, 69, died at 12:17 a.m. Oct. 17, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
Born Aug. 5, 1934, in Scott City, Mo., son of the late Edward Joseph and Ellen Virginia Smith Martin, he was a retail clerk for National Foods and veteran of the National Guard. He was a member of the Niantic Foursquare Church in Niantic.
On Dec. 24, 1960, at Chaffee, Mo., he married Mary Evelyn Rievley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Tina Martin; one daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Brett Duncan; one brother, Gene Martin; two sisters, Pearl Gowins, and Shirley Beggs; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City where services were scheduled. The Rev. Chuck Ferris will officiate.
Burial followed in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
