Martha I. Sweeney, 76, of Shippensburg Health Center and formerly of 1 W. Penn St., Carlisle, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 23, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Colson Sweeney.
She was retired from Harvon Motel and the former Fisherman's Catch, Carlisle.
Ms. Sweeney is survived by her daughter, Tovi L. Kleinfelter of Jonestown; two sons, Greg L. Proudfoot of Mechanicsburg and Robert A. Hipple of Marysville; a brother, John Sweeney of Littlestown; a sister, Rose Colson of Idaville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery, Boiling Springs.
Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Mt. Holly Springs, is in charge of the arrangements.
