Enyeart, Elmer Vance-1865-1949

Elmer Vance Enyeart, son of Abraham and Rachel Enyeart, was born in Wabash County, Indiana, March 2, 1865 and passed away at 11:30 p.m. March 12, 1949.
He came with his parents to Missouri when a small boy and has lived his entire life in Chariton County. For the past forty years he has lived on a farm 2 ½ miles northeast of Indian Grove. He spent the past two weeks at the home of his son, Arthur, northeast of Keytesville, where he passed away.
He married Paulina Jane Mitchell Oct. 15, 1890. To this union nine children were born, three of whom passed away several years ago; Irene Myrtle, Feb. 10, 1919, Tyella Pearl, Jan 12, 1927 and a boy a few minutes after birth. Mrs. Enyeart passed away June 29, 1940. Those left to mourn his passing are Loren and Arthur of Keytesville, Edith, Stella and Harland of Kansas City and Rachel Gipson of Macon, MO. He also leaves 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Enyeart has fifteen brothers and sisters, the living are Emma McQueen, Maggie Whiting, William, Abraham, Artie, Ernest, Thorson and Perry Enyeart. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Wyrick of Holts Summit, at the Powell Christian church one mile east and ½ mile north of Indian Grove Tuesday at 2 p.m., March 15.
Six grandsons acted as pallbearers; Marvin, Floyd, Leland, Ruby, Elvin and Clyde. Burial was in Powell cemetery
