Civil War Veteran Called
George Dyer, 91, veteran and prominent farmer, died at the home of his son, S.H. Dyer, at Macksburg, Friday, following an illness incident to advanced years. His wife, who was Miss Louice Fowler of Macksburg, died several years ago. He was a member of the M.E. Church and of the Masonic lodge. He is survived by four sons, Samuel H., and Francis Dyer of Macksburg, M.E. Dyer of Marietta and L.M. Dyer of Shreve; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lillian Dilley of Macksburg and Mrs. L.M. King of Dawes, W.Va. Funeral services were held from the M.E. church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.K. McCall. Interment was made in the Lund cemetery.
